Native to: Columbia, Venezuela, Ecuador, and Peru. Epidendrum frutex grows in cloud forests in scrubby habitats as a terrestrial plant between 2800 to 3500 meters in elevation.
Plant Size: Large. Epidendrum frutex has upright stems with reed-like leaves.
Flower Size: 0.125 inches (4 mm)
Flower Description: Flowers are small and borne in great quantity on a branched inflorescence. Many flowers bloom over a long period of time. Pollinated flowers produce huge seed capsules.
