Common Name: Bag-shaped Lip Epidendrum
Native to: Columbia, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela. Epidendrum marsupiale grows on steep banks in mountainous cloud forests from 1500 to 3200 meters in elevation. This species grows on rocks and trees.
Plant Size: Large. Epidendrum marsupiale has branched, reed-like stems that are clothed with many leaves.
Flower Size: 1.5 inches (4 cm)
Flower Description: Epidendrum marsupiale blooms on a short flower stem that forms at the tip of mature stems. Each growth produces only two flowers.
Bloom Season: Summer to mid-Winter
Growing Temperature: Cool
