Common Name: Pointed-lip Epidendrum Orchid
Native to: Costa Rica, Panama. Epidendrum oxyglossum grows on trees in tropical forests between 600 and 1600 meters in elevation.
Plant Size: Small. Epidendrum oxyglossum has cane-like stems that branch with age. Mature stems may lean or recline.
Flower Size: 1.25 inches (3 cm)
Flower Description: The small flowers are produced on terminal inflorescence that branch. Epidendrum oxyglossum produces flower stems from the tip of new growths. Branches that form on old stems can also produce infloresences.
Bloom Season: Spring?
Growing Temperature: Warm to Cool
Additional Information: Epidendrum oxyglossum is best grown mounted on cork bark or grown in a slatted wood basket. Provide humid growing conditions with even water and fertilizer throughout the year.
