Common Name: Moss-like Epidendrum Orchid
Native to: Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panama. Epidendrum selaginella grows on trees between 650 and 2400 meters in elevation.
Plant Size: Miniature. Epidendrum selaginella covers tree branches with its creeping rhizomes that produce short stems with a few leaves on the upper-third of the stem. All parts of plant are small.
Flower Size: Tiny. 0.25 inches (0.5 cm)
Flower Description: The flowers of Epidendrum selaginella are produced on short flower stems that bear up to eight flowers. All the flowers open at once.
Bloom Season: Winter
Growing Temperature: Warm to Cool
