Native to: Ecuador, Peru. Epidendrum megagastrium grows on trees in dry forests from 2900 to 3700 meters in elevation. It prefers protected arroyo or riparian habitats.
Plant Size: Small. Epidendrum megagastrium has fleshy stems with three or four leaves.
Flower Size: 1.5 inches (3.5 cm)
Flower Description: Epidendrum megagastrium produces about four flowers on a long terminal inflorescence.
