Common Name: The Almost Anceps-like Epidendrum Orchid
Native to: Peru. Epidendrum pseudoanceps grows on trees in wet mountain forests between 1400 and 1800 meters in elevation.
Plant Size: Large. Epidendrum pseudoanceps has reed-like stems. The leaves are dark green on top and have a purplish cast on the underside.
Flower Size: 1.5 inches (3.5 cm)
Flower Description: Epidendrum pseudoanceps produces flowers on a 5 inch (12 cm) long pendant flower stem. Several flowers are produced at the tip of the inflorescence.
Bloom Season: Spring, Fall
Growing Temperature: Warm
Additional Information: Epidendrum pseudoanceps is closely related to Epidendrum anceps. Grow mounted on cork bark or tree fern plaques or in pots with coarse growing media. Provide warm, humid growing conditions with ample water during periods of active growth.
