Native to: Columbia, Ecuador. Epidendrum jejunum prefers swampy, humid environments from sea level to 1000 meters in elevation.Plant Size: Medium. The stems of Epidendrum jejunum are reed-like and have a few thin leaves.
Flower Size: 0.5 inches (1.5 cm)
Flower Description: The flowers of Epidendrum jejunum are produced on short terminal flower stems. There are between one and five flowers per growth and the flowers open up one after the other.
Bloom Season: Blooms almost anytime of the year.
Growing Temperature: Warm
Additional Information: Grow Epidendrum jejunum under warm Cattleya growing conditions and provide ample moisture and fertilier when new growth is developing. Grow mounted on cork or tree fern or grow in a basket or pot. This species prefers higher humidity than many orchids.
