Common Name: Medusa Epidendrum
Native to: Ecuador. Epidendrum medusae grows on trees in wet mountain forests between 1800 to 2700 meters in elevation.
Plant Size: Medium. Epidendrum medusae is a reed-stem orchid that produces upright stems with many leaves.
Flower Size: 3 inch (7.5 cm)
Flower Description: The flowers have hairy lips that are visually stunning. One to three flowers are produced on a terminal flower stem. Flowers are substantial and attractive.
Bloom Season: Summer
Growing Temperature: Cool
Additional Information: Epidendrum medusae needs cool, humid growing conditions. Grow mounted on cork or tree fern. Provide water and fertilizer evenly throughout the year. There are a few color forms available.
